January Jazz at the Bechtler:
Jazz at the Bechtler pays homage to the legendary jazz trombonist composer and arranger J.J. Johnson with a special tribute concert featuring the exceptional trombonist, Rick Simerly. The evening is designed to transport listeners back to the Golden Era of jazz, where J.J. Johnson reigned supreme as one of the genre's greatest and earliest trombonists to embrace bebop. Get ready to be swept away by the timeless compositions and innovative spirit of Johnson, interpreted with reverence and skill by Rick Simerly and the talented Ziad Jazz Quartet, led by Ziad Rabie. 

Admission:
Tickets are $20 for Bechtler members; $25 for nonmembers; free for Jazz Affinity Group members. Advance ticket registration is required for all shows to guarantee seating.

Concertgoers may choose from one of two shows: 6 PM or 8:15 PM. Each concert is 75 minutes and performed without an intermission. Doors open at 5:30 PM for the 6 PM show and at 7:45 PM for the 8:15 PM show.
